We think that through being selfless the world is going to give us the appreciation and opportunities we deserve; however, that is not always the case, if one is not making the concerted effort to advocate for themselves. The commitment for self-fulfillment and self-respect require one to be selfish. Let us not allow the negative actors of selfishness to sway us for taking our rightful amount of selfishness to evolve.
